Drawing is the most important way of reaching your creativity

Drawing is the foundation of art. Drawing requires no exceptional ability - only normal vision and a degree of coordination. You gain many important benefits when you draw.

1. Drawing stimulates your natural curiosity. You begin to see things not noticed before.

2. Drawing forces you to observe objects carefully, so you learn to see accurately.

3. Every time you draw you improve your eye-to-hand co-ordination. Skill improves naturally with practice. The more you do the better you get, the better you get the more you do.

4. When you draw, you think like an artist. As you draw, you gather information about how things work, how the pieces fit together. You gain insight into nature's laws: how a stream creates its meandering path, how the wind twists trees, how a leaf mimics a tree. You find and record relationships. Drawing provides you with the necessary tools to become a creative artist.
