Artist of the Month
Geri Dugas of Thibodaux, LA, is June’s Artist-of-the-Month. After retiring from spending 39 years as a nurse, Geri was searching for some fun outlet to pursue. Always interested in art, she decided to try her hand at abstract painting. She discovered alcohol ink and its gorgeous colors. After playing with this medium she fell in love with it. This past year she tried other mediums and found a love for acrylics and encaustic wax, adding them to her repertoire. Presently she is taking an online class that mainly involves florals. With no formal training, her talents bloomed just like the florals she paints.
Come by Downtown Gallery this month to view her work. Also, there is a reception on 6/22/25 from 2 to 4 pm.
All are welcome!

I loved Monet at the Marina! The weather was beautiful and it allowed me explore a medium I hadn't tried. The instructors were friendly and helpful.
