Artist of the Month

Travis Moore, native Mississippian and long-time Louisiana transplant, took an interest art as a youngster. By the time he was 23, he graduated from drawing motorbikes and superheroes to painting landscapes and portraits. But that was not the only thing that interested him.

In addition to painting, Travis, a talented musician, has also developed his skills as a carpenter, creating one-of-a-kind quality pieces which include tables, clocks, etc., made from hard-to-get pecky wood.

Travis’ work is strongly influenced by nature as well as the philosophy that “to give is better than to receive.” He understands the positive influence of the arts and wants to share this with the world.

You are invited to view his work at the Terrebonne Fine Arts Guild, 630 Belanger St., Houma, LA. He is the Artist-of-the-Month for July 2025 and a free reception will be held there on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 2 pm – 4 pm.
